5 Ways You Can Use Golf To Improve Your Bottom Line

5 WAYS YOU CAN USE GOLF TO

IMPROVE YOUR BOTTOM LINE

#1 BUILD BETTER RELATIONSHIPS

Playing golf with a client is FUN and it is Glamorous but more importantly, you are

building a better relationship. For prospects and clients to buy, they must like you. They must see a difference in you. They must trust you. They must feel you have credibility. They must be comfortable with you. And they must believe that you have their best interest at heart not yours. Not easy, but the golf course offers a great place for the client to buy you first. It offers you an opportunity to position yourself as a trusted business partner. And more importantly, it allows you to get to know them on a more personal level.

#2 YOU CAN INTRODUCE CONNECTORS

Figure out who can be a help to a particular client within your circle of influence and invite them to join you. I am sure you have the right people in mind; the key is to make sure these connectors are in the foursome.

#3 BRING HELPFUL IDEAS FOR YOUR CLIENTS AND PROSPECTS

Some sales coaches mention that when indulging in an extracurricular activity the conversation should be light. Yes and no. You have plenty of time to do both so why not bring some ideas on how to improve the client’s or prospect’s revenues or how to increase productivity. Or how to improve employee moral. If the ideas are well thought out and bring value, you will be the hero. And the real good news, the client will probably dive deeper into their personal life with you.

#4 DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF

With a little imagination, there is many other ways to use golf as a business development tool. Here are a few to get your creative juices flowing:

-INTRODUCE NON PLAYERS TO THE GAME

-Host a parent/child event

-Create a Pool for all the Major Championships

-Take a Road Trip

-Put together a Referral Bonus Program and use Golf as the reward

#5 TAKE AN INTEREST IN YOUR CLIENT’S and PROSPECT’S GAMES

If you are the catalyst for improving someone’s game, they will definitely remember it in more ways than one.

BIG IMPORTANT HINT-Do the following to help and you will be much more successful.

-Host clinics for your clients and prospects

-E-Mail a tip of the week

-Invite a Golf Professional for a round of golf
