Dancing with the Stars
Dancing with the Stars and Business Golf are Very Similar
Gosh, David is writing about Dancing with the Stars while there was Monday Night Football, A great baseball game on, and Meeechigan is beating Division One foes, HMMMMMM..... is it safe to say that the Dolphins need to win a football game?????
OK, All kidding aside, there are three reasons Dancing with the Stars and Business Golf are Similar.
#1 Dancing is not the Celebrity's day job while Business Golf is not your day job.
#2 Both activities are not easy. Yes, instruction and practice are a GOOD THING.......
#3 Most importantly, being on the show forms a unique bond between the celebrity's and their fan base while playing golf forms that same unique bond with your customers. AND...... if you are really good, it can EXPAND THE FAN BASE.....
Not bad for a rainy day Tuesday in OTOWN.....
So, there is no question it takes away from your weekday selling time and you might not be the best at it but being on the golf course on Friday afternoon "kicking it out" is the real deal........
Laughter is a Good Business Skill
Whenever you come across something that could help your friends in business you are suppose to pass it forward. With that being said, I attended a great one day seminar this past weekend in Melbourne entitled "Show Me The Funny." Andy Dooley, the master of ceremonies shows you how to liven up your presentations by making your stories funny and other secrets that comedians use. I saw it first hand, he can make anyone funny. It is awesome and if you ever have to present or make a sales call you should attend.
Jeff Gitomer, another great sales trainer, says, "study comedy, people will feel more comfortable with you and are more apt to buy when you can make them laugh."
