Eagle Creek Golf Club Selects Jacqueline Keehan
ORLANDO, FL - Eagle Creek Golf Club in South Orlando has
named Jacqueline Keehan as its Director Of Tournament Sales.
Keehan, a native of Minnesota, comes to Eagle Creek from
Embassy Suites Jamaican Court in Orlando, where she served
as Sales Manager.
At Eagle Creek she will be responsible for booking groups
for tournaments and outings, and will report directly to
General Manager Gary Piotrowski.
We are focusing on group outings and tournaments,
so this is a very important position for Eagle Creek,
said Piotrowski. Jacqueline has
the right skills and contacts to do very well in this position.
We are thrilled to have a person of her ability to tackle
such an important job for our golf course.
Keehan is equally as excited to be at Eagle Creek.
I am very honored to be awarded the opportunity to
be Director of Tournament Sales at Eagle Creek Golf Club,
she said. I am excited to be a part of a new golf
course that brings in distinct amenities that set it apart
from area golf courses. By utilizing my extensive background
in sales, I am looking forward to providing players with
exceptional service and a memorable experience for many
years to come.
Furthermore, I am eager to develop a long lasting
relationship with my cliental, within the local community,
hotel and tourism industry.
Finally, I look forward to working with Gary Piotrowski
and his talented staff.
Eagle Creek is placing special emphasis on tournament service,
with its Five Star Tournament Service program, one that
Keehan will emphasize in her sales efforts. The package
was created by PGA Professional Tony Crawford and his staff.
"Tournaments and events are a big part of our business,"
said Crawford. "We want to deliver a product so impressive
and consistent that the groups will return year after year."
Eagle Creek is. a fascinating Ron Garl/Howard Swan design
located on Narcoossee Road just southwest of prestigious
Lake Nona. The
7,198-yard, par-73 layout is a strategically demanding yet
very playable golf course, featuring ample landing areas
and challenging green complexes. Swan's European background
is apparent in the course's bunkering, as many of the 90
sand bunkers are revetted, creating challenging recovery
shots.
Eagle Creek is the first course in Florida to offer Mini
Verde grass, the fifth type of ultra dwarf Bermuda in existence.
Mini Verde provides extremely durable and fast-rolling putting
surfaces, according to results seen in other parts of the
south and so far at Eagle Creek.
Another first among Central Florida courses
is the use of Club Cars high-end Precedent, a completely
re-deigned golf car, so different
that it required a brand new manufacturing plant to produce
it. Precedent provides Eagle Creek customers a ride and
drive similar to that of an automobile. Golfers will notice
several features on the car that will make the golf experience
more enjoyable and comfortable.
A third very unique aspect of Eagle Creek is its total
par. With five par 5s, Eagle Creek plays to a par
73, the only course in Central Florida to do so. Golfers
generally favor par 5s, and none will be more enjoyable
than the terrific finishing hole. The 483-yard par 5 offers
golfers a chance to finish in glory, reaching the green
in two. But the sloping putting surface is bordered in front
and to the right by water, requiring extreme accuracy on
the approach.
In addition, Eagle Creek is an Audubon International Silver
Signature course.
Eagle Creek's location, just 12 minutes from the Orlando
International Airport, makes it a natural site for group
outings and convention golfers. It is destined to become
a favorite of the locals as well.
The golf course is "Distinctive Orlando Golf With A
European Flair." It is designed to blend unobtrusively
with the soon-to-be built homes in the master-planned Eagle
Creek Golf Community. Homebuyers will have the option of
choosing from different communities that will make up Eagle
Creek. In addition, there will be a community park and recreation
center for residents.
