Eagle Creek Golf Clubs 5-Star Tournament
Service Reputation Continues To Expand
ORLANDO, FL - Eagle Creek Golf Club in south Orlando has
stressed golf tournament service from the day it opened
in March of 2004, as reflected in the clubs Five
Star Tournament Service program. And that special
attention to service and detail continues to pay dividends.
The highly acclaimed Ron Garl/Howard Swan design has hosted
dozens of major golf competitions and corporate outings
in its two years of existence, including the National Finals
of the Buick Scramble, the PGA Pro-Pro Series, the National
Championships of the Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip & Putt
Junior Challenge on The Golf Channel and many others.
Several important ones are on the horizon, including two
FGSA events - a Florida State Junior Championship qualifier
this year and the 2007 Florida State Public Links Championship.
Eagle Creek is the one golf course in central Florida
that has everything necessary to conduct a championship
event, said Les Brown, Florida State Golf Association
Tournament Director. It has a challenging course that
competitors want to play, a professional staff that is flexible
and well versed in tournament operations, food and beverage
variety normally found at a country club and a maintenance
staff that prides itself in the little touches that competitive
golfers appreciate.
That type of effort and special care has helped Eagle Creek
become one of the areas most popular hosts of corporate
and group tournaments. In April alone, the course is completely
booked with group business on two different days.
We are very pleased with our group bookings for early
spring, said Dawn Lafferty, Eagle Creek Golf Clubs
Director of Sales. We have some brand new business,
and we also have seen many groups return from last year
after experiencing our beautiful golf course and great customer
service. That doesnt surprise me, because our entire
staff works diligently to provide customers with a memorable
golf and meeting event.
The Emerson International-owned Eagle Creek was magical
from its opening day. The very first event played on the
par-73 golf course was a charity tournament for the Arnold
Palmer Childrens Hospital, and a hole-in-one was recorded
on the 17th hole.
The Five Star Tournament Service program, created by PGA
Professional Tony Crawford, is meant to deliver unparalleled
service to event planners by the Eagle Creek staff, from
the planning stages to the completion of the event. Among
the services include are:
- A dedicated event manager who will assist in all areas
of tournament production.
- Personalized welcome messages on golf carts.
- Computerized GPS Yardage System with LIVE Tournament
Leader Board.
- Sponsor recognition and instant messaging capability
with GPS.
- PGA Scorecast Scoring System.
- Complimentary post-event club cleaning.
- Complimentary hole-in-one contest for a fabulous 2-year
lease on a Jaguar automobile.
- Prizes on all Par 3's.
Along with recognition as one of the top event management
courses in Central Florida, Eagle Creek Golf Club has also
gained a reputation as an outstanding golf course. Travel
and Leisure magazine tabbed Eagle Creek as one of the top
10 new courses in Florida this decade; the par-5 18th has
been named among the best finishing holes in Florida; The
Grille Room was named by Orlando magazine as one of the
top 10 19th Holes in the region.
Located just minutes from Orlando International Airport,
Eagle Creek proved to be a favorite among visiting golfers
as their getaway round, thus the slogan Save
The Best Til Last was the theme of one Eagle
Creek advertising campaign.
Eagle Creek Golf Club opened to rave reviews in 2004 as
a course with a number of firsts. The facility features
the only-par-73 layout in Central Florida, including a fifth
par five, which provides an exciting risk/reward finishing
hole. Eagle Creek is the first course in Florida to have
the durable and smooth Mini Verde grass in its greens, and
was the first in Central Florida to provide the smooth ride
of the deluxe Precedent Golf Cars from Club Car.
One other unique aspect: There isnt another clubhouse
in Central Florida quite like Eagle Creeks, a vintage
New England manor in appearance overlooking the 18th hole.
It features a 120-seat restaurant, a banquet room that accommodates
50 people, men and women's locker rooms and a fully stocked
pro shop.
