Eagle Creek Golf Club Will Go A Step Beyond
With Its Five Star Tournament Service Program
ORLANDO, FL The operators of Eagle Creek Golf Club
have promised to produce an experience unlike any other
for golfers visiting the southeast Orlando property.
That extraordinary experience doesn't stop with the golf
course, which will be the first in Florida to feature Mini
Verde grass on the greens, and the only course in Central
Florida with a par 73.
And it isn¹t limited to the wonderful European flair
golfers sense throughout the property, starting with the
vintage New England manor-styled clubhouse.
The unique experience also will be evident in the tournament
service package created by PGA Professional Tony Crawford
and his staff. It is called Five Star Tournament Service,
and that¹s exactly what event organizers will experience.
"Tournaments and events will be a big part of our
business,"said Crawford. "We are catering to that
market, and we want to deliver a product so impressive and
consistent that the groups will return year after year."
The concept of Eagle Creek's Five Star Tournament Service
is based on the need for tournament organizers to feel they
have created a partnership with the golf venue hosting their
event.
The Five Star Tournament Service includes:
- Professional meet-and-greet service with personal welcome
message on golf carts;
- Complete registration area setup including skirted
tables and chairs;
- Golf bag set up with personalized bag tags;
- Staged golf cart area and Shuttle Service to and from
practice area;
- Private pre-tournament practice area with golf pro
instruction tips;
- Full time event manager providing welcome and review
of tournament rules before start of play;
- Complete planning assistance on tournament format,
food/beverage, merchandise and special contests;
- Preloading services including two iced coolers on carts,
goody bags, gifts and rental clubs;
- Computerized GPS Yardage System with Tournament Leaderboard;
- Two full service beverage carts on course;
- Private food & beverage areas for pre- and post-tournament
functions;
- PGA Scorecast Scoring System;
- Men's and Women's Locker rooms with showers and towel
service
- Complimentary hole-in-one contest for an automobile.
"Group organizers will know from the start that they
are receiving special service at Eagle Creek,"said
General Manager Gary Piotrowski. "We want them to feel
right at home and to be able to relax and enjoy the tournament
experience, knowing they are in good hands."
Eagle Creek is a fascinating Ron Garl/Howard Swan design
located on Narcoosssee Road just southwest of prestigious
Lake Nona, scheduled to open in Spring 2004. The 7,198-yard,
par-73 layout is a strategically demanding yet very playable
golf courses, featuring ample landing areas and challenging
green complexes. Swan's European background is apparent
in the course's bunkering, as many of the 90 sand bunkers
are rivetted, creating challenging recovery shots.
The most unique aspect of the Eagle Creek design is its
five par 5's, including the terrific finishing hole. The
480-yard par 5 offers golfers a chance to finish in glory,
reaching the green in two. But the sloping putting surface
is bordered in front and to the right by water, requiring
extreme accuracy on the approach.
The stunning clubhouse, vintage New England manor in appearance,
overlooks the 18th hole. It features a 120-seat restaurant,
a banquet room that accommodates 150 people, men's and women's
locker rooms and a fully stocked pro shop.
In addition, Eagle Creek is an Audubon International Silver
Signature course, and is the first course in Florida with
Mini-Verde greens, providing outstanding playability and
durability.
Eagle Creek's location, just 12 minutes from the Orlando
International Airport, makes it a natural site for group
outings and convention golfers. It is destined to become
a favorite of the locals as well.
The golf course is "Distinctive Orlando Golf with
a European Flair." It is designed to blend unobtrusively
with the soon-to-be built homes in the master-planned Eagle
Creek Golf Community. Homebuyers will have the option of
choosing from different communities that will make up Eagle
Creek. In addition, there will be a community park and recreation
center for residents.
The Eagle Creek golf course and community are part of the
subsidiary of Emerson International, Inc.; the United States
division of the United Kingdom based Emerson Group.
